those little calendar gifts before christmas can be a challenge. it’s difficult to avoid buying 24 pieces of plastic crap. especially if you are on a budget. last year we recogniced that finding things for Mikkel was getting even harder, as he doesn’t really collect toys anymore. so when James over at the blog Bleubird Vintage shared her approach, i knew that this year's calendar would be a basked filled with books for each of the boys. some of the books are bought second hand, some of them found on book sales, and a few of them are shiny new. for Evald, his basket is mainly filled with good night stories and for Mikkel a lot of comic books. they open their book presents in the evening before going to bed, and they love it. what a great idea! this will become a tradition for sure.
Lurt! Og sikkert lurt å leite i god tid før desember så ein har alt klart. Kan jo ta litt tid å finne 24 (eller 48!) bøker! Har og hørt om den gode ideen å framkalle bilder, så får bornet 1-2 bilder kvar dag som dei kan lime i ein album. Trur eg skal gjere det neste år, eller kanskje ideen din med bøker :)
ReplyDeleteså fin bilde idé! faktisk får Evald og Mikkel hvert sitt album av oss i julegave med bilder fra året som har gått :-). det var overraskende lett å finne 48 bøker. til neste år skal vi og ha en voksen-bok-kalender, tror jeg:-)
